Tours to Egypt usually begins in Cairo, as it is the main international hub where most tourists enter Egypt. However, tours of the Cairo area are frequently divided between the beginning and end of the trip. However, a frequent addition to a standard classical tour, are the temples of Abu-Simbel. This will usually add a day to the Aswan tour. If an excursion to Abu-Simbel to be added, it’s usually done by air from Aswan, and back in one day, leaving some of that time open to expanding on the visits to Aswan sites. Less common tours or ways to visit Abu Simbel, in via a vehicle, possibly with a stay at a local Abu-Simbel hotel there, to get to see both the sunset and sunrise at the temples.
