Day 1

Arrive at Cairo International airport, where you will be met by your Egypt Tours and Travel tour manager, transfer to your hotel. The JW Marriott, for check-in and overnight.

Day 2

After breakfast at the hotel, your Egypt Tours driver and Egyptologist will pick you up for a full day of touring, starting with Cairo's iconic Giza pyramids, where the city meets the desert, then drive south along the river valley to Memphis, the once-resplendent capital of the Old Kingdom, where you will see the reclining statue of Ramses II. Continue your tour with a short drive to Saqqara, the burial place of the pharaohs of the Old Kingdom and home of the Step Pyramid of Zoser, one of the world's oldest stone structures of its size. Return to your hotel. Overnight.

Day 3

Start your Cairo tour with a visit to the Egyptian Museum, with its excellent collection of Egyptian antiquities. After lunch, continue to Coptic Cairo: the ancient synagogue of Ben Ezra, the Coptic church of St. Sergius, and the Hanging Church. Citadel of Saladdin overlooking the entire city of Old Cairo, the Alabaster Mosque of Khedive Mohamed Ali Pasha, and Sultan Hussein Mosque. End tour with a visit to the famous Khan El Khalili Bazaar where you can purchase hand-tooled copper, silver, and gold items. Back to your hotel. Overnight.

The Beautiful Hatshepsut Temple, Luxor, Egypt

Day 4

Early pickup from your hotel by your Egypt Tours tour manager. Transfer to Cairo airport for your flight to Luxor, upon arrival, meet your guide, then cross the Nile River to Luxor's West Bank to explore the Valley of the Kings. Your visit includes excursions inside the well-preserved tombs of several rulers of old Egyptian dynasties, including the famous King Tut Tomb. Visit the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, one of Egypt's most successful pharaohs. Visit the Valley of Queens. Drive back to Luxor's East Bank for lunch. Continue to your hotel. The Sonesta St George for check-in. In the afternoon, visit the graceful Luxor Temple in the heart of the town of Luxor. Overnight at your luxury hotel in Luxor.

Day 5

After breakfast, tour the Karnak complex consuming a mile and a half, its ancient name means "the most perfect of places”. In the afternoon, transfer to Esna to embark on your Dahabeeyah, The Queen Farida Nile sailboat around noon time for check-in. Start your sail. Arrive El Hegez Village 4-hours later. You will enjoy your lunch at El Hegez Village in a small town. El Hegaz village is located north of Edfu. Spend your first night onboard your Dahabeya.

Day 6

Early morning sail to El Kab, about an hour of sailing. After breakfast, visit El kab on the East Bank of the Nile, about 8 miles North of Edfu. One of the oldest settlements of Upper Egypt, the ancient town of Nekheb ELkab and its sister Hierakompolis on the West Bank of the Nile river were the home of Nekbet the vulture goddess of Upper Egypt. The site contains several rock cut tombs. These are the burial places of the New Kingdom officials of that region. The tombs at El-kab are interesting, their walls are carved with important texts and reliefs depicting the naval battles on the Nile River between Egyptian forces from the city of Thebes and the invading Hyksos armies from the Near East. The most favorite place is the tomb of Paheri who was a mayor of the city during the 18th dynasty (1550-1295 BC). In this tomb, you will find a well preserved paintings of Paheri s' funeral procession along with images of pigs, hardly seen in any other Egyptian tombs. Transfer back to your Queen Farida Dahabeya. Set sail to Edfu about a 3-hours sail. Visit Edfu temple. Continue sailing from Edfu to El Fauaza island about a one hour sail. Spend your second night onboard your Dahabeya.

Day 7

After breakfast, Sail from El Fauaza for 3-hours to El Ramady Village, walk around the village to explore the countryside for some time. In the afternoon, sail from El Ramady to Gebel el Selsela about a 4-hour sail. Lunch. Arrive Gabal El silsila or mountain of chains, one of the most important Archaeological sites, used to be sandstone quarry where you can still see traces of the cutting of sandstone. The most famous site is the chapel of Horemheb. Horemheb was the last king of XVlll. He carved a much larger rock-chapel out of the hillside at the northern end of the site. The chapel was dedicated to Amun-Ra as well as other deities that were connected to the Nile River. Continue your sail to Fares Village about an hour sail. Spend your third night onboard your Queen Farida Dahabeya.

Kom Ombo Temple, Egypt

Day 8

After breakfast, you will have time to walk around the village. Set sail to Kom Ombo, that will be about a 3-hours sail. After lunch visit Kom Ombo temple. Sai to Harbyab Island, a 2-hours sail. Spend your fourth night onboard your Queen Farida Dahabeya.

Aswan, Egypt Sailboat Ride

Day 9

Set sail from Harbyab to Aswan, a 4-hours sail. Lunch on board. In the afternoon, visit by a boat ride, Philae Temple, also Aswan's modern marvel, the High Dam. Take a short relaxing felucca ride on the Nile river. Later, enjoy and explore the town of Aswan and its colorful markets. You can enjoy their famous mint or hibiscus tea in a street café. Spend your fifth night on board your Queen Farida Dahabeya in Aswan.

Day 10

Breakfast, disembark your Queen Farida Dahabeeyah where you will be met by your Egypt Tours escort and transferred to Aswan Airport for your departure to visit the Temple of Abu Simbel. Once finished with the Abu Simbel tour, fly from Abu Simbel to Cairo. Upon arrival at Cairo airport, you will be met by your Egypt Tours tour manager, and transferred to your hotel. The Marriott Mena House, for check-in and overnight.

The Red and Bent Pyramids, Dahshur, Egypt

Day 11

Meet with your Egypt Tours tour guide. Drive to Dahshur, visit the Red Pyramid and the Bent Pyramid. The builder of these pyramids is thought to have been Sneferu who is believed to have built the pyramid of Maidum. His son Cheops (Khufu) continued his construction tendencies. In the afternoon, transfer by your Egypt Tours tour manager, to downtown Cairo to embark on a 2-hour "Felucca" (sailboat) ride, exploring downtown Cairo and riding in a sailboat the same way the ancient Egyptians did thousands of years ago, with the skyline of Cairo in the background. Transfer back to your hotel. Overnight.

Day 12

After breakfast, meet your Egypt Tours tour manager, who will transfer you to Cairo airport for your departure flight.
