Marriott+Mena+House+Hotel

Day 1

Arrive Cairo where you will be met by our Egypt Tours and Travel tour manager, who will help with your meet and assist, then you will be transferred to your historical and luxurious hotel, the Marriott Mena House. Overnight.

Dismantled River Barge King Cheops

Day 2

Meet with your Egypt Tours tour guide. Drive to Memphis at the edge of the Western Desert, the capital of the Ancient Kingdom, and among the cities of greatest importance in the history of Ancient Egypt. Drive to Sakkara, the vast Necropolis of Ancient Memphis. In the afternoon, drive to the Pyramids of Giza. Cheops Pyramid, the largest of the three Pyramids, built in the 4th dynasty about 2690 BC and one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. Enjoy a camel ride by the Pyramids area if you wish. In front of the Pyramid of Chephren (Khafre), you will find the Sphinx carved from a single piece of stone. It is a lion with a Pharaoh's head thought to be a portrait of the Pharaoh Chephren. Continue the tour to the Solar Boat Museum, where a dismantled river barge of King Cheops (Khufu) was found and has been masterfully reassembled. Return to your hotel. In the evening, you will be met and transferred by your Egypt Tours tour manager to the Giza Plateau, to attend the magnificent Sound and Light show. Later transfer back to your hotel. Overnight.

Mohammed Ali Mosque

Day 3

Meet with your Egypt Tours tour guide. Start your tour v by visiting the Egyptian Museum famous for its antiquities from Egypt's Pharaonic period, dating back some 50 centuries and includes the fabulous treasures of King Tut-Ankh-Amon. Afternoon excursion to Old Cairo, visiting the very old Coptic Churches, Abu Serga Church, built over the crypt where Jesus, Mary, and Joseph stayed while in Egypt, also visit the Hanging and the oldest Jewish Synagogue of Beni Ezra. Continue your visit to the Alabaster mosque of Mohammad Ali and the Citadel of Salah-El-Din and the medieval Bazaars of Khan-El-Khalili, where you can bargain for your jewelry, copper, and hand-tooled leather items. Return to your hotel. Overnight.

Day 4

Meet with your Egypt Tours tour manager and transferred to Cairo Airport for your early flight to Aswan. Upon arrival at Aswan Airport, you will be met and transferred to embark your deluxe cruise ship. the Sonesta M/S Moon Goddess or similar. Later you will be taken by "Felucca" to visit the Elephantine Island, the Mausoleum of Agha Khan, the Botanical Gardens, and the Temple of Philae. Overnight onboard.

Day 5

Visit the Kom-Ombo Temple, shared by the two gods Sobek and Haroeris, dating back to 180 BC, during the Ptolemaic era with additions made during Roman times. Sail to Aswan. In the afternoon, visit Philae Temple, botanical gardens, Agha Khan Mausoleum by Felucca. Overnight on board.

Temple of Horus

Day 6

Visit the temple of Horus, one of the best-preserved temples in existence. It’s a Ptolemaic temple built between 237 and 57 BC. Overnight on board.

Day 7

Cross to the West Bank of the Nile, visit the Necropolis of Ancient Thebes. Explore the valley of the Kings and Queens where tombs of 64 Pharaohs and 57 Queens have been discovered, enter some of the most remarkable burials, including that of King Tut. Also, visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and Colossi of Memnon. In the afternoon, visit the Temple of Karnak, which took over 1500 years to build and is considered the world's largest religious complex. Continue the tour to visit the Temple of Luxor, started by Amenhotep III and completed by Ramses II. Overnight onboard your cruise ship.

Day 8

Disembark your cruise ship, where you will be met and transferred to Luxor Airport for your flight back to Cairo. Upon arrival at Cairo Airport, you will be met by your Egypt Tours tour manager and transferred to your hotel, the luxurious Cairo Marriott Hotel & Casino. Overnight.

Roman Amphitheatre Egypt

Day 9

Meet with your Egypt Tours tour guide and drive to Alexandria (about a 3-hour ride). Upon arrival, start your sightseeing by visiting the Greco-Roman Museum, containing a wide variety of Pharaonic, Ptolemaic, Roman, and Christian antiques, statues, bas reliefs, pottery, jewelry, marble pieces, and other artifacts. These give you a feel for the grandeur of Alexandria during its Greek and Roman days. Continue the tour to the Roman Amphitheater, which is the only known amphitheater from the Roman Era in Egypt. In the afternoon, visit the Catacombs of Kom-El-Shouqafa. These tombs are remarkable for their unusual mixture of art styles, sculpture, reliefs, and images of Egyptian gods. End tour with a visit to Pompey's Pillar, a column 98 feet high and 7 feet thick, made of Aswan rose granite, erected in 297 AD. Transfer back to your hotel in Cairo. Overnight.

Gayer Anderon Museum Egypt

Day 10

Meet with your Egypt Tours tour guide. Start your tour by visiting the Gayer Anderson Museum (Bayt Al-Kiridlyyah): two houses, one from the 16th century, the other from the 17th, comfortable dwellings by the standards of their time. They have been delightfully joined together, both filled with antique furniture from all over the Middle East. Continue the tour to the Manyal Palace, built-in 1826, and conceals an Ottoman-Baroque fantasy within immense marble basin with a marble island in its center. The Palace was built by Prince Mohammed Ali, the cousin of King Farouk, which includes a Museum exhibiting King Farouk's trophies and the Prince's own residence with its furnishings and a large collection of the family's memorabilia. In the afternoon, visit the Ibn Tulun Mosque one of the architectural glories of the Muslim world. Completed in the year 879, it covers 8.5 acres of land and is designed in the classical courtyard style. It is well known for its pointed arches, beautifully carved stucco, and Quranic inscriptions in sycamore wood. Continue the tour to the Islamic Museum which contains Islamic art from Egypt, Turkey, and Persia dating from the 7th to 19th centuries. End the tour with a visit to the Coptic Museum, built on the site of the Roman fortress of Babylon, constructed about 30 BC. Inside you will find some of the richest collections of Coptic art in the world. Transfer back to your hotel. Overnight.

Red Pyramid Egypt

Day 11

Meet with your Egypt Tours tour guide. Drive to Dahshur, visit the Red Pyramid and the Bent Pyramid. The builder of these pyramids is thought to have been Sneferu who is believed to have built the pyramid of Maidum. His son Cheops (Khufu) continued his construction tendencies. In the afternoon, transfer to downtown Cairo to embark on a 2-hour "Felucca" (sailboat) ride, exploring downtown Cairo and riding in a sailboat the same way the ancient Egyptians did thousands of years ago, with the skyline of Cairo in the background. Transfer back to your hotel. Overnight.

Day 12

Breakfast, then you will be met by your Egypt Tours, tour manager, transferred to Cairo Airport, where you will be helped with your check-in for your departure flight.
