Temple of Dendera, what we know?

The Beautiful Temple Of Dendera, Egypt

Dedicated to the goddess Hathor, often depicted as a sacred cow or a woman whose head looks like a pair of horns. Temple built out granite stone, during the Ptolemaic dynasty. The temple goes back in time to King Cheops and Pepi the first. The temple has a hypo-style room, opens to a square. Has 24-large columns, with drawings of the goddess on them, within the large temple, you can see a smaller temple that is called, the chapel of Holiness. This is the most secret and holy spot in the sanctuary.

Hathor was the goddess of love, music, and wine. Dendera temple was built in the 1st century BC, and the only circular representation of the heavens found in Egypt. It is a Greco-Roman temple. Temple was first initiated by Ptolemy III, followed by numerous additions by subsequent Roman Ptolemaic rulers. It also houses a famous painting of Queen Cleopatra.

Temple of Abydos, what we know?

Abydos, was the name that the Greeks bestowed on the ancient city of Thinis. Abydos was a center of pilgrimage, all Egyptians had to make pilgrimage to the temple at least once during their life-time. The relic of the god, mainly the head is preserved in the sanctuary. Legend has it, that god Seth killed his brother Osiris, dismembered his body and scattered the pieces all over Egypt. The goddess Isis, spouse to the diseased went on a search and gathered all pieces and body parts and placed them in the sanctuary.

The killing of Osiris by his brother Seth is very similar to the story of Cain and Abel in the Christian bible. On the other hand of the palace of Seti I, the muononium is very well-known for its splendid paintings which was named as an admirably constructed palace. It is a very well-preserved temple. The work of the temple was continued by his son Ramses II. However, the palace was never finished.
